And where exactly does socialism come into this?
* edit - aha, I was under the impression that the leading party of catunya was centrist, my bad. However socialism is no better or worse than conservatism/neolibralism with regards to democracy, if anything social democratic parties embody deocracy to an extreme not adhered to by neolibs and conservatives, sometimes to the detriment of effectiveness.
