The Final Zoo
Written by Steve Milton on 19-10-11 19:36 (34338 views) (4 comments)
I’ve retired from writing features. I made that clear some time ago on these very pages and intend to keep the promise I made to myself. I’ve seen better partying days and it’s time for those younger and with greater staying power than I to take over the reins. However, just this once I’ll put finger to keyboard and send off an old friend of 10 years who, like me will be finally retiring and moving into the realms of clubbing history. To survive this long is a testament to the organisation and dedicated following they created in conjunction with one of London’s best loved small venues. [Full Story]

Anyone who’s spent even a fraction of time partying in the psy-trance scene is sure to have heard of Tristan and Avalon. Both being highly respected artists in the psy trance scene, in their own right. Signed to the mammoth Nano Records and playing at the most amazing parties such as Ozora, Universo Parallelo, Boom, Burning Man... the list goes on. Not content with this – they want to give us double whammy – by teaming up and collaborating on an act together! Logic Bomb prepare to detonate their new album at Elixir of Life
Written by Tara on 28-09-11 13:43 (34196 views)
When Jonas Pettersson and Johan Krafft started studying to become computer engineers, they had no idea that they were going to end up using their skills for something far more creative than crunching code. But their graduation in the mid-’90s coincided with a new type of dance music being brought back from the golden beaches of Goa to parties held in the mystic forests of their homeland of Sweden, which they became obsessed with. Forming Logic Bomb in 1998, the massive success of their debut album Headware in 2000 on Spiral Trax closely followed by Unlimited in 2002 on TIP World helped define a whole new sub-genre of psychedelic trance, “scando-trance”. Back in London to launch their fourth album The Grid at the phenomenal Elixir of Life this Saturday 1st October, HarderFaster finally made contact with two of the greatest geeks in psy trance… [Full Story]

Discovering the Elixir of Life with System 7
Written by Tara & Anu Shukla on 21-09-11 11:18 (32669 views) (3 comments)
It’s been over three years since System 7 made their HarderFaster debut and in that time a lot has happened, including the release of their new album Up earlier this year, inspired by the minimal and electro sounds Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy experienced in the Berlin techno scene. Slower and groovier than their previous album Phoenix, the infusion of their trademark psychedelic guitar and synths give it an uplifting twang that makes it extremely danceable. We’re getting ahead of ourselves though: in this first of a two-part interview, we speak to Steve and Miquette about their origins at the inception of the dance scene and what made them cross to the dark side of dance music… [Full Story]
