These CoViD-19 days, the world has been changed. Like it or not, we're living in "the new normal". Just some quiet musings from me. Anyway, here's Banco de Gaia's new EP on his own Disco Gecko imprint.
Kintsugi is a five-track EP of reflection; somewhat removed from Banco's beat-driven electronic. Instead, we got an ambient journey through five movements of sound. One track, Floatless, has already been released. The other four are exclusive and unheard and reflect the artist's love of ambient music.
Kintsugi is certainly an interesting concept and is quite well-executed; with its shuffling beats and lush ambience shining through. I like this one. Not my usual style but I like it.
