Label: Highfish Digital
Format: Digital
Genre: Hard Trance

Highfish Digital delve into their vaults and bring out this prime fillet of hard goodness from Jon The Baptist. Although the title may be cheesy, the track itself isn't. Not by a long shot. This is hard trance of epic proportions. I mean, this is Highfish Digital we're talking about. You weren't expecting anything less, were you?

This track was actually made a few years back and from what the PR says, never got to see the light of day. Now Highfish have unleashed it with a new remix from Jon The Baptist and Iain Cross aka PROTON. The Original Mix has an industrial-led sound to it; almost hardstyle but prodominantly hard trance. Rough-edged synths and Teutonic beats are the order of the day here. Although this is a few years old, it sounds very fresh; probably due to being remastered but it definitely sounds new. Its epic industrial hard trance basically. In a nutshell. The synths are, as I said, rough-edged and very raw. It belays the cheesiness of the track's title and heads straight for the underground.

The remix is by Jon The Baptist & Iain Cross who venture into their PROTON guise. Here, we go less industrial and more trancey. An acid feedback riff is embedded in a tough mid-ended beat. Its less industrial than the original mix and sounds a wee bit harder. The title of the mix is "Completely Different Tip" and, lo and behold, its definitely a more leaner, meatier, animal. Its definitely one for the harder trancefloors and is a little floatier than the more industrial-sounding original. Nice stuff.
