Claudia Cazacu is certainly one maligned girl, attacked from some angles, loved from others, she’s certainly no stranger to controversy. It was with this in mind I approached with trepidation her remix of Underworld’s Cowgirl
Now don’t be surprised as I’ve already been surprised for you! The Threshold Remix really does the business for me. With its dirty driving sound, along with a vocodered to f*** vocal and cool breaks in the breakdown, this is a track that should get the most lethargic crowds going. A peak time monster if ever I heard one.
The Original mix is just that touch slower and much techier with sirens wailing and that vocodered vox back again through out the whole track. Then there’s the long build up, just right for working up a crowd.
A strong release actually so let’s see if the girl once known as Sweet Kelly can produce some more sweet tracks in the future.
