Radi8 is celebrating the launch of its new spiritual home, downstairs @ sonic on Friday 1st September! Its set to be an unforgetable night with a very special digital showcase from Blacklight Audio's main man Neil Holmes.
Neil has been DJ-ing for over 12 years now & after many years of using vinyl, neil is currently embracing the digital era. not long after switching to using CD's, he found that a more creative form of Dj-ing with less restriction was needed. Neil soon discovered the likes of virtual mixing module 'Traktor'. Supported by the help of an Apple ibook, this unique style of dj-ing is @ the cutting-edge of musical creativity.
Neil's current sound is mainly a blend strange minimal techno & prog influenced by James Holden with contrasting inspiration from progressive trance kingpins Markus Schulz & Perry O'neil.
On the night support will be from Radi8's warm-up maestro DJ Burt & an essential 2hr B2B set from Scotty.A & Jumby who'll provide the warm, melodic, uplifting sounds of Radi8. U can also find the likes of 'CUSTARD' upstairs! A brand new event of delisious funk & tech house.
Fridays just got a whole lot better! The fun starts @ 8pm with free entry till 10pm, £4 entry there after!
