Deep Voices » Because The Rain Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 07-02-12 15:43 Label: Lange Recordings Format: Digital Genre: Trance Alexander Klaus is becoming one of my favourite male vocalists. Here, he teams up again with Deep Voices for “Because The Rain”, with remixes coming from Space RockerZ and Moonking. This guy last appeared on a Lange release guesting with Lange himself on “Strong Believer” from the album Harmonic Motion. Here though, Deep Voices utilise his fine voice for a groove-laden trance track. Its similar in tone to Strong Believer; dark and ominous but with a light-ish edge to it and a touch of the melodic to it. The Original Mix is finely produced with Alexander's voice taking center stage. Could it become a classic? Only time will tell really but I like the little nuances in this one. Of the remixes on offer, I'm drawn to the Space RockerZ mix as it has a housey feel to it. Its a comfortable and functional speed as well but for the trancier floors, it may have to be pitched up. The Moonking mix is a dub; using the vocals sparingly; encased in a shuffling, chunky, version. Pleasant enough.
