This is the first installment from the boys at Kcode, and proves to be the attention catcher that is required! With mixes from Nero (a.k.a. D'Marr Ford, recently signed to Nukleuz with 'Beatbox') and KayGee & Spero this delectable little number should not fail to please...
The original mix is quite a fast paced tech-house stormer, with a suitably darker edge. A simple off-beat bassline is all that is given and all that is needed as there are fx, bleeps, trippy acid lines, filtered loops, stabby synths, and all other wizardry in abundance. A dark and spooky break give way to an almost bouncy hoover riff. "Does it work" you ask... It does! A nice blend of the techno feel with the hoover house sound makes sure that nobody is left off the dancefloor.
The KayGee & Spero mix is nothing short of brilliant, showing why these boys are seen to be remixing everything these days! Now given the fact that I'm not exactly the most ardent techno lover, I still think this track is bloomin' gorgeous! By 'eck luv! These boys have taken a completely different look on the track, and given it a hard driving tribal techno feel. Works perfectly! You won't be able to stop yourself from dancing. Tight percussion and a warm reversed bass, accompanied by dark breaks and eerie vocals, all add up to give this a full on dancefloor rocking experience. No riff, but it's not needed. There's more than enough going on to keep you reaching for the kleenex!! Job well done!
Coming Soon... KCode 02
