Mine's an XPS 1702X if that helps.

Thanks, I had a search but couldn't find one on sale. Must have been discontinued.

I use Traktor and Ableton and mine's a 13" retina. I prefer the high PPI but for me, it's the glass itself that makes the difference in terms of reflection, colour repro and clarity. The MAC is just solid and consistent whereas the Vaio's screen has a noticeable brightness gradient regardless of viewing angle with horrible glare and reflection. A problem with VAIO's obviously Smile

As far as tweaking is concerned, I had to do endless tweaks and still got issues and was never able to nail it down except to a hint towards a Win7 specific flaw with regards to midi. Never had any issues with XP admittadly but then the hardware I was using wasn't pro grade. Can't comment on Win 8.

13"? Yikes! I can't imagine using Ableton on a screen that small! My HP screen is pretty good, not a retina display but I have no issues with it. I'm not anti-Mac as I say, I just can't afford or justify spending the money on one (and they've discontinued their 17" line it seems.)
