But the udp were founded by Ian Paisley who was against the terrorists.

Was he bollocks. He started two paramilitary/vigilante groups himself in the late 60s/early 70s - Ulster Protestant Action and the Ulster Protestant Volunteers (itself a paramilitary wing of his Ulster Constitution Defence Committee). He also helped Gusty Spence form and maintain the UVF, and would often publicly thank them when they carried out shootings, etc. At supposedly peaceful meetings of his acolytes, he would read out names of catholic homes and businesses then openly encourage those present to go out and attack/burn/shoot them, which they did. In the 80s he formed yet another two paramilitary groups - 'Third Force' and 'Ulster Resistance'. Etc etc etc. A vile man with vile beliefs.

Few people have done more to encourage violence in the North of Ireland than Paisley but this has always been a rather inconvenient truth for the British establishment, who would rather continue to parrot the bullshit narrative that the only terrorists in the North were the IRA. It is profoundly worrying that the Paisley-founded DUP now have so much influence over the UK government, and deeply ironic also considering how much the Mail et al were making of Corbyn's connections with Gerry Adams, Martin McGuinness, etc.

The elders rose up and said to the young people, If ye choose Jeremy, he will bring distress in your toils and wailing upon your streets. Do ye not remember the 1970s?
And the young people said, The what?

You forgot the link Wink great article though

I'm gobsmacked that someone who lived through the troubles didn't know this, whilst it was the IRA which bombed the mainland, there were regular reports from Ireland of violence on both sides.

Am hearing nothing but praise for our Jeezer on the news. One of the people, no security, listening to the locals.
HELLO MAY!! Surely this woman realises how much she's hated & will resign.

Karma is a beautiful thing.
