Unless, of course, it's a girl...

....in Spearmint Rhino maybe.

Im surprised it was girls doing the questioning!!! Surely this is what we want to see Laughs out loud .. more understandable if it is blokes uncomfortable they have a point... me personally have no problem and thing it is a out of order to make you leave.. they should have told you this was the policy if anything and not to come in again like this is if this is how they felt they shouldnt have kicked you out.. it doesnt state on the lfyer that there is dress code.

A picture keeps what time destroys

Am really sorry to hear that. I can understand your frustration and upset, however looking at it from the promoters point of view a number of complaints were made and they had to do what was best for everyone. If he had said "sod those who complain" and the complainants left then they would be on here writing a complaint - "our needs weren't met" etc. A very tricky and tough call but i think he did the right thing.

I appreciate that everyone has their own definitive style and considering the heat in the place i can understand why you would wish to wear shorts etc, but they are also quite provocative shorts and if it upset people it isn't unreasonable for them to ask you to put on something else - is it?

It is such a pity that you didn't enjoy yourself or feel free to wear the clothes you wished to wear, but if it was security that were asking you to change or leave then that would be a venue issue, and no promoter has the final say over the venue.

It is always a pleasure to see Riff and Raff out and they usually don't get any problems when i have seen them out clubbing so i am surprised, and sad that they had to leave as we didn't get to say hello Waves but if you put yourself in tilt's shoes - if the venue says that they have had complaints and that they agree that you should either change or leave then what would you do?

I personally find nathan a very kind and professional promoter, who genuinely listens to his clubbers and does what he can to make the party as good as it possibly can be - that means listening to people's complaints and taking action. I fully understand your view point and am sorry that you were the centre of the complaint, but from reading your post i can fully understand his actions and think he acted reasonably and from what you have written spoke to you in a professional matter and did his best to be understanding.

Jesus wept.

I think the right action was taken.

To be honest, I personally (and most of the clubbers I know) don't want to see people wandering around in their smalls be they gay, straight, or bisexual, whatever I couldn't care less.

If you go to a club like Trade, Torture Garden etc then you know to expect stuff like that and fair play to it. Thumbs up

It's seem to me that you suffer from a little intolerance yourself for those who do not appreciate such exhibitionism as you do, and quite frankly your cries of homophobia are pretty lame.

Pete, after months of submitting the most aesthetically and mentally challenged posts you finally blossom. Oh my flower child (who had once gone to seed) you’ve posted the first sensible thing, ever.
Thumbs up

Why thank you Joshua. Your final acceptance of me, and your warm embrace, have truly touched the depths of my heart. I shall go and plant an Orchid in honour of this wonderful moment.

Then God knelt down and blessed
These plants and tenderly he said,
"I'll call this family Orchids,
`And its numbers shall spread
To all the regions of this earth,
And its blooms shall be the queen
Of all the flowers I have made,
For none finer shall be seen."

(3rd Verse, Semper Regalis - By Clarence S.Lindsten)

In honour of the Orchid that you plant for me. Thumbs up

Yes maybe steps should be taken if people are offended, but this sort of thing does suggest that everyone should carry a change of clothing to prevent them from being removed from the building if people complain.. I can't see anyone seemly normally dressed being very happy about being told for instance that the slogan on their top is offensive so they must forgo having a good time for the sake of other people in the club.

surely there are much more important things going on that should be addressed before allowing a majority vote exclude anyone for they way they dress.

i have no idea whether the promoters is at fault, and doubt they are directly. everyone just tries to do their best and they are human afterall. if the promoters know their audience then maybe they are aware of the more subtle attitudes of the crowd and should make people aware before entering the venue that they may not be well recieved.
