It's bollocks really. Mainly full of sycophants re-tweeting famous people saying hello or whoever flavour of the month is. I can totally see why it would be the best site in the world for you... Well other than Porn Hub.
There are some genuinely funny people on there but in terms of actual interaction, it's not a patch on Facebook.

I have lost respect for many a celebrity because of their banal fucking posts. Most notably Stephen Fry and his fucking sandwiches for lunch.
