Hell no, I've used a few iPhone Xs and I can't stand it, I'll stick with my iPhone 7 which is perfect, for the foreseeable future.

For the record I've had every iPhone since its' launch and this will be the first time I won't be upgrading.

I'm the same as you but stopped at the 6. The missing jack on the 7 put me off as didnt want to get wireless headphones. Really happy with the 6 and I just paid off the balance and dropped to sim only £15 a month that more than covers my internet usage, mainly because i use my work phone a lot now for social media/YT vids etc

What is this bixby?

Am due an upgrade and apple fanbois have not convinced me to go to the dark side so S8 is looking likely. If it's not massive and fits in my pockets Razz

Samsungs built in AI, which will be really useful with more samsung devices, particularly smart TV etc.

To be fair I haven't set it up and just keep getting reminders .

TBF Bixby Vision helped me get out of the office without setting off the alarm once and figure out what boiler we've got so i could get the heating working, it seems a bit more accurate than google image search .

Battery on the 7 is incredible which is why I've stuck with it, outlives every other iPhone model on the market, the lack of a headphone jack I can live with, I have 2 adapters in case I ever lose one which I haven't yet because it's permanently attached to my bose earphones.
