Solis & Sean Truby team up with Audrey Gallagher for "Skin Deep" on Infrasonic. This includes a remix from Standerwick. Well, the Original Mix and remix were unveiled as stand-alone entities but I'm reviewing them together. There's method in there somewhere. Maybe.
The Original Mix is first and offers a chunk-laden body and epic beats with stabby synths and Audrey's luscious vocals shining through. It is robust and inspirational with a little bit of darkness incorporated into it. Nice production values and a nice melody line too. I like.
STANDERWICK unveils the remix and here, the beat intensifies with more emphasis on floor-bothering mayhem and anthemic status. The body of the track changes with the beats and is very much a different animal; more club-friendly. I favour this mix as its more upfront trance but the Original Mix has a potent core. I'd plump for the Standerwick mix but I've a soft spot for the original.
