You should try to, Its easy to play a decent peak time set, but IMO it takes alot more to play a decent warm up set, It shows the difference between a good DJ, and a wicked DJ

Just my opinion

Yeah, that

Roll eyes (sarcastic) just want to get to 1k posts, not too much to ask is it? Roll eyes (sarcastic)

No thats knowing what kind of music I play thats all pal! Why should I force myself to play tracks I dont like, when there are thousands of DJs out there that do like them ....

Because a promoter is paying you to play a certain style? How did you get gigs with this type of attitude?

Do something, do it well, better than anyone else in fact, and then do it for less - and that is the secret of success.

Laughs out loud I don't think I've ever heard another DJ be so up themselves before.
You are a legend but for all the wrong reasons.

hannah i hate warm up sets too but i had to go out and get a load of warm up tunes because like it or not, im gonna be booked for warm up sets !!

I dont know why the clubs dont just bang it out from the start, im not talking about casper and karim style bang it out but i hate all the shite ppl play first, specially the tribally stuff. i go to a club to dance, not to wait for 2 hrs then dance Thumbs up get a grip promoters!

It's nice to be able to chat when you get into a club and come up gentally, before being hammered into submission by a set of nothing but Karim tracks.

Warm ups are one of the most important sets of the night and only a handful of DJs know how to do them properly.

Not at all Jen, I dont play warm up ...

That's not the right attitude to take tho Hannah is it really! I've been playing for 10 years now and played virtually every major gig in the country, and still i never turn down a set, whatever time that may be! Devilish Thumbs up

This Summer:Carl Nicholson - Muzikmaker/Nick Rowland Rmx (Oblivion)
Carl Nicholson - Eruption/Matt Williams Rmx (Oblivion) Devilish
Carl Nicholson & Matt Williams - Streamline (Elasticman) Not worthy...

Because most people don't want that, its all about musical progression through the night not 8 / 12 hours of the same style banging out

If at first you don't succeed, Sky diving is not for you
