Sorry its been so long between reviews but life. Ya know how it is. Anyway, on to Alter Ego now and the new one from Granz Enemy and ToShuk. This is Revival which comes with a stupendous remix. More on that later.

Clocking in at almost 9 minutes, the Original Mix is a colossus; a mounting tapestry of sound, with an epic bass-line and meaty rhythm section. Eerie in some ways, yet strangely not. There's also some nice piano and orchestral section in there too, which isn't actually that odd in trance music. I like it. Nice build.

Now the remix. The remix is provided by Kiyol & Eky who are bang on point; bringing more banging sounds to the table. Its ferocious as anything but still retains the melodic sound of the original.

On the whole, this is a very good release for Alter Ego. The Pure side of the imprint has also been reactivated so look out for stuff from that entity too.
