Since 2000 Danny Gilligan has worked his way from grass roots of the hard dance scene to one of the Capitals brightest future prospects. He has played at every well-regarded event in London and is now looking to stamp his trademark high-energy sets and effervescent personality to dance floors the length and the breadth of the country.
Danny holds three major London residencies Blast and Twist which he has held for well over two years now, he was also a well respected resident for the award winning RIOT! For three years Danny says ‘’I’m so fortunate to have the residencies I do they each allow me to play a different style in order to fully express myself. Riot was a huge platform for me to getting to where I am now and I am very thankful for that to Ed Real, he has schooled me over the last few years and I now feel I am focused to achieve everything I have imagined in my DJ and production, playing alongside names such as Yoji Biomanika, Andy Farley and Lisa lashes has done my confidence the world of good”. Danny now finds himself as one of the busiest DJ’s in the capital but now very committed to breaking his sound to the masses. It has been a big year for Danny having toured abroad no less than four times this year in countries such as Australia, America, South Africa, Ibiza he now wants to build upon that valuable experience and make 2005 an even bigger year, In 2004 he was voted Resident of the year on the hugely successful Internet website for dance music ‘Harderfaster.net’ being put in the hat alongside names such as BK, Andy Farley, Phil Reynolds and coming out on top was a warming thanks of appreciation from the crowds that he had pleased over the year. As with all DJ’S it is inevitable that Production needs to follow and Danny now has ten finished productions which are all signed to labels with plenty more to come (see Discography) He is the newest addition to the Proactive records label with many tracks to follow in 2005. Future dates include studio time with Alex Calver, Matt Williams and Ingo. Danny has enjoyed some great success with Ingo having there second release signed to Tidy Trax ‘Music For A Harder Generation’ mixed my Andy Farley Danny says ‘ Ingo and I seem to understand each other and we have cross over music which boarders trance, techno, and hard house all in all very interesting music to make and listen to’’ We have forth coming release’s due out on Proactive records in Jan 05 ‘The New World’ and ‘Now’s The Time’.
