Sample set:Coming soon...
Worst DJing moment:When I was playing in France with XLR8 on NYE, I'd just mixed in a record out of a CD (for those of you out there who mix will know what I mean here!!) I lifted the needle off of the record rather than taking the CD out, so there was silence! Somehow, I managed to get away with it though! Scary moment all the same!
Would most like to play:It seems that everyone puts the same answer here, but I'd love to play at Trade! It was my main influence when I was younger and was hugely responsible for my musical/mixing style.
Most enjoyable set you've played:Would have to be Trinity in New Zealand in the summer of 2000. My first overseas experience and I was nervous to say the least! But when I got in there the nerves seemed to disappear and there were 1700 Kiwi's going mad in front of me! An experience I'll never forget.
When you're not DJing you're:In the week I'm spending a lot of time in the studio producing with my partner in crime Ali Wilson, and if I'm not playing at weekends I'm probably dancing instead! I still really enjoy clubbing even if I'm not playing.
Favourite DJ:Steve Thomas. A very talented DJ who I've respected for many years. Amazingly versatile, playing anything from Tough funky house through to rip-roaring Techno! His mixing skills are second to none, and he's a bloody nice chap too!
Favourite Venue:It has to be 'The End'. It has the most amazing sound system and is one of the cleanest clubs I've visited. I love the Fridge too!
Favourite Promotion:Its all about YES! @ Hidden Saturday December 3rd 2005!!
Favourite Producer:Tony de Vit was an outstanding producer, so ahead of his time too. Alot of respect for him. More recently on the harder edge, I've liked alot of Nick Sentiences stuff. Always so much going on, very complex, professional production. Hes only a little bit older than me too so I've got a huge amount of respect for him. On the funkier tip, I really enjoy Paul Jane's music. Again, the production is spot on and proffesional, he always gets ya head bobbin'!
Favourite Label:Has to be TEKELEC baby!!
Biggest Influence:As I said earlier it has to be Trade, I haven't been for a while but a few years ago it was hugely responsible for my musical tastes and styles.
Drink:Cider and Black! Mmmmmmmmmmmm!
Non-music pastime:I must admit, I am a bit of an Eastenders fan! If I get the chance during the week I do like to catch up with the goings on in Albert Square! Apart from that, music pretty much rules my life!
Words of wisdom:Get the fu*k right in!
