November Trance Chart

(artist/title/mix/label)

(1.) DJ Pure Path: ‘Relativity’ (Greg Downey remix) – Flux Delux Digital
Simply stunning pumping trance from man-of-the-moment Greg Downey. An incredible futuristic sound to this one and a truly mighty bass end – I can see myself playing this one for months and months to come.

(2.) Charlie G: ‘Sleepless’ (original mix) – Monster Hard
The Monster series of labels continue their dancefloor domination with this tough trancer from Charlie G. Tons of energy to this one and nice vocoded vox – I can see this crossing over to the hard dance crowd really well.

(3.) Goldenscan: ‘Halcyon’ (original mix) – A State Of Trance
A very welcome return for Goldenscan with this beautiful piece of melodic trance. Featuring a lovely epic breakdown and a buildup to die for, this takes me back to that oft-referred to ‘golden age of trance’. This deserves to (and will) be massive.

(4.) Ronski Speed vs Stoneface & Terminal: ‘Incognition’ (original mix) – Euphonic
Stoneface & Terminal are another production team who’ve had a great 2005. Here they team up with Euphonic’s Ronski Speed to delivery a powerful stabby trancer which does the damage on the dancefloor.

(5.) Vast Vision: ‘Aurora’ (Icone remix) – Flux Delux Digital
More standout pumping trance from Flux Delux who deliver their second digital release this month. Three mixes here, with standout honours going to Holland’s Icone who turns in a driving remix which pushes all the right buttons.

(6.) Peaktwins: ‘Dreamer’ (original mix) – Electric Sauna
I’m a little late on this one but it’s so good, it’d be wrong not to chart it. A superb, almost 80’s style bassline makes this thunder along to a really well-programmed breakdown before the feelgood melodic stabs bring the track home. More great stuff from Electric Sauna.

(7.) Mike Koglin & Jono Grant: ‘Sequential’ (original mix) – Anjunabeats
Koglin & Grant provide their follow up to the excellent ‘Circuits’ with this nice tech-edged trancer which is perfect warm-up set material for me. ‘Sequential’ has that nice blissed-out feel which is always good for the early part of the night.

(8.) DJ Precision vs Terry Bones: ‘Another Situation’ (original mix) – Somatic Sense
Somatic Sense have had a great (and prolific) 2005 with numerous quality releases, the latest of which is this classy melodic trancer. Looking forward to the label’s output in 2006.

(9.) The Viceroy vs Karl Gunton: ‘Perception’ (original mix) – CDR
I was lucky enough to be sent a copy of this on CDR and just can’t stop playing it! The Viceroy, one half of the promotions team behind Vaccine, teams up with the prolific Karl Gunton to deliver a great slice of melodic trance which wouldn’t be at all out-of-place on Anjuna or ASOT. Congratulations guys!

(10.) Vicky Devine: ‘Entravanse’ (original mix) – CDR
The debut solo release from Charly’s Angelz resident Vicky Devine is exactly my sort of trance: pumping, bouncy music with a nice melodic edge. Great stuff and will look forward to hearing more from Vicky in the future!
