Now entering the 5th year, Levi’s Vintage Sundays have become known as a brand that promote live and original music of the highest calibre. The concept is basically a laid back evening in an intimate setting, with artists taking a softer approach to their music and giving fans a more relaxed version of what they are used to.
The acts range from laid back acoustic folk acts, unplugged rock, jazz, hip hop and reggae acts. This night presents aKing and Taxi Violence.
Levi’s is also running a competition, where aspiring young journalists can hone their skills by reviewing any one or more of the gigs. This article is then submitted to the Levi’s website, www.levi.co.za. The winning review gives the journalist the chance to choose their favourite act and have them perform a private gig at their home, for them and their friends, courtesy of Levi’s.
