I try to avoid them by having my landline on do not disturb a lot but when they do happen to catch me I usually just start singing to them. I've tried allsorts but I found if you upset them then they blitz call! As I sing terribly it works wonders and they hang up! It did make me laugh when I got a voicemail from a salesman from plinkety plonk singing a tune back!
