Clearly not. I don't understand how Pioneer can make turntables so similar in design though. Maybe they are paying Technics a percentage on each turntable sold? Crazy regarding vinyl sales! I don't however see the clubbing world changing their mind to widely ditch vinyl though. It's certainly a finished standard as far as club standard goes. No that never happened. All producers of decks Numark/Denon/etc tried to emulate Technics in look and feel. You could argue that cheaper TV companies are trying to look similar to bigger names... A TV is a TV... A deck is a deck. You can't make them look that different.
