But that isn't trickily true in this case is it?
The ballot was for staying or leaving and it was incredibly close.

The vote is always going to be 48/52 or 49/51 if you allow people only two choices. You have only to look at the US election results for the last few presidentials to see proof of that. This is actually why I am very worried about the way UK politics is playing out at the moment as IMO after the disasterous (for LibDem) coalition, the media is doing its' utmost to create a paradigm where we become a true 2-party state like the USA. Corbyn may seem like an ideal person to vote for but I am worried that he has been placed where he is in order to soak up the remaining LD votors who are disappointed with Clegg's LD and also to have a go at bringing a lot of Green voters back to Labour.
You'll find that out of all the people that voted 'Remain' that many of them are actually not happy with the EU and only voted 'Remain' because they don't like Tory/UKIP's policies beyond the 'get out of Europe' thing or are foolish enough to think that they can change the EU if we stay in it. And many people did vote 'Leave' as a protest against Austerity, because they think (right or wrong) that the EU is the cause of much of the austerity ill suffered by the UK, although that is by the by.

The Tories have a slim majority in Parliament following GE 2015 – should we have a re-election because the Tories' majority is paper thin in Parliment?
Brexcorsists won. Also, you mean “People who voted to stay.” (Not, voting to not leave.)
Did you not read the ballot paper? Just wondering how clued up you are.
At the end of the day there is only one winner and that is democracy. Stop crying excuses because the result didn’t go your way.
The way I see it, Remoaners now have two choices. 1] Graciously accept defeat and let democracy prevail. 2] Promote the rise of Right-wing/Fascist politics in the UK, for the next generation.

Yes we should. Tthe Tories got in with the slimiest of majorities and a different leader, they are now proceeding with policies that were not in their manifesto. They have no mandate to govern.
I do think that when people use words like "remoaners" it shows a lack of intelligence. Can you not debate a point without resulting to a cheap tabloid insult?
The majority was extremely slim. The campaigns were misleading. The consequences are major.
But he made too many enemies
Of the people who would keep us on our knees
