Asked for an appointment with another GP at my doctors, they put up a fight saying that Lucy's GP is the resident paediatric doctor but put my foot down and she's seeing someone on Monday.

People don't realise they have the right to request a second opinion and are very often put off because of the ego attached and how narky people can be when their opinion/diagnosis is questioned. This doesn't apply to just doctors

I'm having to justify requesting a new neurologist at a different hospital tomorrow as well as tablets instead of nasal sprays. But since the last one said my migraines are genetic based on my mother's (alcoholic inflicted) medical history, she can fuck off.
