This weeks competition:

It’s getting towards the end of the year and we are feeling a little nostalgic. Our competition this week is all about some classic dance anthems.

Ministry of Sound have recently released a new three CD compilation which is an epic journey through dance music from 1991-2009. Tracks featured include The Future Sound Of London – Papua New Guinea, Billie Ray Martin – Your Loving Arms, Snap – Rhythm Is A Dancer, Agnelli & Nelson – El Nino, and Planet Perfecto – Bullet In A Gun to name but a few!

We have some copies to give away if you can answer this ridiculously easy question:

Ministry of Sound’s Anthems II features a truly classic dance anthem by Energy 52 which features on many peoples’ top tracks of all time. What is the name of the track?

Answers, including a full postal address please, to competitions@davepearce.co.uk. Winners will be contacted by email.

Guest mix:

Described by Paul van Dyk as "one of the most exciting producers in the world today", John O’Callaghan has been responsible for some of the most memorable tracks of recent years.
Labels such as Discover, Vandit, Armada, Euphonic, and Galactive have all benefitted from his talent.

After a busy 2006, which saw him headlining events in Poland, Holland, Germany, Sweden, and Cyprus, plus performances in the UK with Gatecrasher, The Gallery, Good Greef, and Inside Out, John went on to have an amazing 2007.

He released his first artist album – Something To Live For – which Discover boss John Askew called “pure genius” and also produced one of his most successful vocal tracks featuring Audrey Gallagher – Big Sky. John also DJed extensively including an extended set at Big One in Buenos Aries and a series of events for Inside Out at The Arches in Glasgow. In 2008 he has been working on a new artist album, planning a Godskitchen tour of Australia, and climbing up the DJ Magazine Top 100 poll to number 60.

Track list:

Blake Jarrell – Punta Del Este
Kyau vs. Albert – Hide And Seek
Sied van Riel – Closer To You
Jochen Miller – Eclipse
Starkillers ft. Lo fi Sugar – So High (Martin Roth remix)
Cramp – Deadline
Ronski Speed – Revolving Doors
