Don't make any difference to me how their relationship works. I just want to know how to address them without causing offence of any kind.
Try using their names.

Thank you both for your useless help. Why don't I just go to the wedding and call them scissor sisters.
Att least Coops has managed to come up with some constructive advice.

do you use the term husband and wife at weddings? just avoid the issue unless they bring it up themselves, hell, they should give you a clue when they take their vows.

I need a bit of advice on the terminologies/protocols here.
Do two men married to each other always refer to the other partner as the husband and similarly do two women married to each other always refer to each other as the wife?
Sounds stupid I know but I need to know before I make an embarrassing mistake. It's all new, uncharted waters for as far as I'm concerned.
*edit*
Just to clarify, I mean are there two husbands in the males marriage and two wives in the female marriage?
Just an update for my fellow HF's should you end up attending a same sex marriage and was wondering what you can call the happy couple, well they refer to each other as the wife.
So now you know.

My brother and his husband to be are not so inclined
