Just how likely are cars with helper-drones?

Like with the Etos, the Kwid\'s drone could be used for taking aerial photography, but it might also have a role in spotting traffic jams and other road congestion up ahead, the French firm theorized.

There was a man in front of me in the queue in tesco's buying condoms.
When the cashier asked if he needed a bag, he said "No, she isn't that ugly"

Don't most sat navs show you congestion these days? Seem like a pointless reason to have a drone helper.

Absolute Fact

They'll report on traffic incidents that have been reported, not ones that have only just happened (as far as I know)

Congestion isn't a direct result of a traffic accident.

Most sat navs and phones already track this how busy the roads are and accidents.

Absolute Fact

No, I know. If there are planned road works they'll report those as well.

My point being if an accident has just happened then it'll take a short while for the sat navs to pick up on the congestion from an rta.

If you have a personal drone that can fly ahead a ways and something has just happened, your personal drone is more likely to beat the sat navs in warning you.

I'm probably not getting my point across succinctly....

A classic case of creating a solution to a problem that isn't there

As you've said, it seems to me to be utterly:

OK, but how far ahead of you is this thing able to go to be of any use? 100 meters at best

Absolute Fact
