So that's goodbye 414 then.

No chance fighting that.

Public pressure seems to be the best option, although I presume Market Row would put up the rent to compensate for their failed development plans.

On the contrary, the whole point is the place probably needed redeveloping anyway.

Like I said, people who have not set foot in the place for years.........................

"Do you believe in the devil? You know, a supreme evil being dedicated to the temptation, corruption, and destruction of man?"
"I'm not sure that man needs the help." (Calvin & Hobbes)

Changed thread title and made sticky.

It would be good if Tony & Louise gave us some direction on the best way to campaign...

Petitions are all well and good but you need a hell of a lot of names to make an impact:

I think comments on the Lambeth planning application will have a more direct effect, but just saying "I loved The 414" isn't going to help to sway their decision.

I wonder if there are any high-profile fans?

There's also a substantial number of new venues opening every week with markedly better quality.

Is there?
Where?

Cool, I presumed it would be an uphill struggle if the freeholder and council wanted the change.

How interested will the authority be in comments from people who don't live in the area?

Logic would suggest you want people coming from out of the area to spend their money in yours.
A mix of both would be ideal, local support and otherwise.

I think it is fair to say that everyone on the Internet is annoying.

I will have a chat and see what they suggest. In the mean time objections on the Planning Application arguing against the need for another generic eatery and flats in the area seem the best bet.

I think it is fair to say that everyone on the Internet is annoying.
