Louk's vital statistics
Age:38
Background: Developing an interest in electronic music in his early teens, Louk has achieved a fair amount of success in a rather short time. This is demonstrated by his productions, gigs, promotion, reviews, and an all round dedication for the sinister blend of trance and techno that he has become famed for.

At the age of 22, he has had productions and remixes released on many leading labels accross Europe with the likes of Druck, Drizzly, Joyride, Dataless, Trance NRG, V-Trax and numerous others all releasing his material, which has gone on to receive success in Clubs, Press Reviews, Radio Plays and Compilations worldwide.

It took an outdoor party on Dartmoor in 2002 to open Louk's eyes to the world of hard trance and he has not looked back, drawing influences from earlier trance and techno records. The style that he is noted for playing consists of a mixture of Techno and Hard Trance, where tracks have techno influenced percussion but retain melodies of hard trance. The mixing didn't start till 2004 however, until he was persuaded by fellow DJs Soundfixation and Mark Hashimi to start learning, whilst wide eyed and dribbling. His first set was at an illegal outdoor party with good friend Soundfixation and he knew that night he made the right decision in learing how to DJ.

This style has lead to numerous bookings accross the United Kingdom, where Louk held down a residency (before its closure) at Eyecon @ The Dance Academy in Plymouth as well as frequent plays for Atmosphere, Hindsight and After Dark events. He has also received bookings for leading events accross the country such as Slammin' Vinyl Sanctuary Festival, North Technology, Uprising, Premonition, Trancefusion, Magnetix, Bionic, Ludicrous, Tall Trees and many more nights, plus has also played some sets on the middle of the moors at free parties. Numerous guest radio mixes also followed and Louk has provided guest mixes for Kiss FM, Vibe FM, Galaxy FM, Juice FM and international stations like Rise FM and guesting on Dave Joy's Joyride show.

As well as this, he is a keen writer who has written for many publications such as Twenty4-Seven, TTR, Upfront, What's On Southwest, Evening Herald and numerous other publications, and he has also written many profiles for DJs, Record Labels and Single releases.

With all this in mind you should definitely check him out!
