On the contrary, I think the racism that can be tolerated by otherwise tolerant individuals is the most worrying of all. It's not by Government decree alone that it's considered a race, it's determined primarily by the folk themselves, and supported by the research of geneticists. Naturally, a way of life is deeply integrated into the culture of a race, and the bigotry that calls it 'lifestyle choice' is akin to taking the piss out of Jews for their 'funny hats', and justify it because 'it's their choice.' If they want respect and understanding from others then it has to be earned, not demanded by simple virtue of being part of whatever ethnic group they belong to. If 'respect' amounts to the right not to be judged by the lowest common denominator of their race, then no, why should that need to be earned more than any other race?
