I hate not knowing what actually happened but also don't really want to be ringing people up and asking. I know Dan's mental health could be up and down but also I know he was in and out of hospital a lot last year and was also generally worried about his physical health and trying to take better care of himself lately also. I worry that his work for the NHS will have been what did it Yeah, we felt he was at increased risk due to underlying health issues, but he said he tested positive earlier in the year so his work for the NHS was OK. We are all feeling the loss of Dan and I know that so many of you want to know what has happened and when we can all say goodbye. I should warn you all that what you are about to read is going to be difficult, and I am here for you all should you need somebody to talk to. The following statement is being posted on behalf of Lyndsey (Dan's mother) in an effort to help people come to terms with what has happened. "On Monday the North Yorkshire Police made contact to advise that Dan had been found dead, the current information we are able to discuss suggests that somebody had intentionally caused Dan's death. An arrest has been made, with investigations continuing. We cannot provide any further details at this time, so as to avoid any disruption to the ongoing work being carried out by the police." "Regarding arrangements for his funeral, we are unable to provide a date until the police release his body back to the family. As soon as this has been done we will notify you all with a post."
