2Komplex

Label: Pharmacy Music
Format: Digital
Genre: Trance

Following tracks from ManMadeMan & Gnomes Of Kush and Kessler, 2Komplex are unleashed on Pharmacy with Available Information. This track features a flip-side called Ritual Of Life. Progressive psytrance is the name of the game here.

Available Information

Proving that psytrance doesn't have to be banging, 2Komplex start off with Available Information, a track that still has a Goa influenced vibe about it but with an Atomic Culture feel. This track does an epic feel; emphasised by its spooky intro and its approaching beat section. I think this would be best used as a warm-up tune before the more full-on tunes are dropped on an unsuspecting crowd. If I'm honest, I'm undecided on whether I like this one or not. There are some good things in it like the foreboding sense of dread that the rhythms and the bass-lines seem to insinuate though.

Ritual Of Life

The flip is Ritual Of Life. Again, this is a complete experience with a distinct intro and more of a techy edge; kinda like old school X-Dream actually. I like this track more than the A-side to be honest. It definitely feels a bit more edgy than the front-end and again, some cool sounds in it. It is still progressive so don't expect anything full-on or in your face. Mind you, trance doesn't have to be full-on and banging. Yeah, I like this one. Has a nice evil feel. That rhymes sort of.
