Clewz is a highly respected and established name: he first burst onto the Sheffield scene in 2000 within the harder edged circuit. Since that day Tim has become not only just a technically perfect DJ but also an innovative producer.
His style has matured through the years and Clewz is now becoming famous for Tech House performing and production. Often given the vital task of warming up a night, not because he is yet to prove his ability but because he has earned the title of warm up DJ maestro extraordinaire. Tim clearly understands the virtues of musical progression, he has developed and refined a style and sound that lure his audience onto the start of a musical journey.
Many other well known DJs love taking over from him because he hands them a dancefloor that has been brought to life and is primed and ready to be taken up a level. Tim is far more than simply a warm up DJ; his residencies around the country have seen him play many crowd-pleasing peak-time sets. For further evidence of this 28-year-olds breadth of talent, consider his highly respected back-catalogue of original compositions and production credits.
This is currently an exciting time for Clewz; unafraid to break from his tried-and-tested past, Tim continues to redefine his musical style as he follows his enthusiasm for tech and progressive house. To accompany this evolution, the Tim Clewz brand and associated styling of yesterday is making way for a new name that will give new identity to his change in direction. Early indications suggest that his new output is most certainly a clever and well-received development, to further cement this reinvention Clewz has had several tracks such as Anubis, Salamander Nitrogen and Reverberation signed to Firefly Recordings and he is in the process of a collaboration with Sean Macaskill aka Seamus.
Clewz has played at some of the most successful nights; to 2000 capacity crowds and after each compelling performance Tim has received massive recognition from the punters and scene leaders alike.
2007 is set to be an outstanding year for Clewz, a truly uncapped talent that is about to be fully unleashed, stand well back as youre about to be blown away!
