I'm sooo excited that Andy Force and FlibbertiGibbet have both been booked to play at one of my favourite London events, Tribal Village! So much of the music I play in my sets is from artists I've first seen play at Tribal Village such as StereoMantra and Suduaya, it really has been a source of inspiration over the last couple of years, so it's a real honour to finally be getting behind the decks.
Tribal Village - A Psychedelic Adventure....
Saturday 9th May 2015
Tribal Village is the playground of the wanderers, the explorers, the mystics and the magicians. It is where our subconscious guides us in search of a story, where we find new beginnings, or where journeys complete their circle.
Tribal Village is our collective space, to explore the infinite realms of consciousness, and to re-discover our human experience from which we are disconnected. It is where the universe travels around us, instead of us traversing the universe. It is where we can explode and re-construct, where we can invigorate our imagination, and it is where we can suspend our fears and glimpse freedom, for a moment.
Take the road through Tribal Village! A hiatus from your long adventure is due; we have enchantment to share and tales to tell, wonder to bestow and people to meet.
Relight the fire! The tribes are gathering…

The Tribal Village crew have just raised the bar again and booked the amazing aerialist ErialC for their next event at on Saturday 9th May.
I was already excited about playing at their new venue, The Steelyard, but this definitely takes things to a new level!

You know how we have been trumpeting for a while now that the next Tribal Village, on May 9th, at new venue The Steelyard is going to be bigger better baby, well now we have an announcement that makes that statement look like an understatement. As for the first time ever, Tribal Village is super-excited to have amongst all the other good stuff an aerialist too. A what I hear you say? You know, an aerialist, someone who hangs from stuff attached to the ceiling - a description that is at the basest of levels and probably does no justice to the skills of the one who does the hanging but do you get the picture?
Anyway, this aforementioned aerialist is the astonishingly wonderful ErialC who you may remember as Mary Poppins in the opening ceremony of the London Olympics, or you may not, or you may also have seen in the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent, although we will forgive if did not do not. Either way, her other career highlights include Glastonbury Festival, performing aerial hoop at a height of 80m from the Arcelormittel Orbit and royal charity galas but surely, you will agree with me, Tribal Village will top that lot!
Trained out of London’s Aircraft Circus and at acrobatic schools from Brasil to Australia, ErialC specialises in silks, aerial hoop, rope and harness work whilst dabbling in flying trapeze, swinging trapeze, wall running, Chinese Pole and cloud swing. All enough to make this ground-locked correspondent go weak at the knees and try to find a wall to lean on for re-assurance, but hey I sure will be cheering her on because that sounds amazing and to be appearing at a humble psy-trance gig in London that is just exceptional. Well done team, can’t wait.

Honestly, I have no clue how to best introduce you to this artist, performing for your pleasures at Tribal Village, 9th of May, 2015. Let’s start with his name – Aphid Moon. Kaboom! No less. This fella represents UK psy-trance. Are we excited, damn right we are. I could provide you page-upon-page of information about this guy, all that would blow your mind, but let’s just do a quick summary.
Started out in the mid-nineties, promoting, djing in London squats, clubs and free outdoor parties, began releasing tracks, picked up by Flying Rhino Records, going ballistic here, further releases on the who’s who of UK psychedelic trance labels - Tip, Twisted, Dragonfly, Alchemy, Atomic and Nano Records. Now we are rocking. Three solo albums, collaborations with fellow luminaries including 2007’s Big Fish with Dick Trevor. DJ and live sets in Japan, Israel, South Africa, Brazil, South America, Central America, US, Europe and the UK, a regular at Universo Parallelo, Vuuv and Glade Festival. Started his own label, Aphid Records, in 2008, digital EPs emanating from here ever since. All throughout, defining his own style - one that truly reflects the sound of British psy-trance.
Do you get it? Aphid Moon is one of the big kahunas and he is bringing his live show to us humble Tribal Villagers. Are we not worthy? No way, we are the happiest most joyful crowd in London today and we are getting everything we deserve and the fact that Aphid Moon is coming to play just says it all really!
