MR_S wrote on 22-12-2005 10:15 PM Do you need a new hubby Piers, we would get on just fine, hehe
Let's discuss it in the toilets at Twist on Saturday
Mind you, we'd have to palm off your wifey with my hubby - could it work?!
Roger, much as I'd love to buy him something nice, he's made it quite clear that the large shiny thing he really really wants is a BMW Z8 and I've already found that I can't get one for love nor money by next Tuesday
Kimba_lee, your suggestion is probably the best so far, particularly since my birthday is in January so I can buy him something then that he'll hate but I'll happen to find really useful

That is such a cool idea I am going to remember that, buying a present for your other half on your own birthday. Thats great, they would never see it coming.

I tell everyone I don't do Christmas (bah humbug etc) and don't give or receive cards or presents.
However, hubby's made it quite clear that he expects something large, shiny, and expensive to unwrap when he gets back from the other side of the world on Tuesday.
It's our first Christmas together so what do I do? Compromise my artistic integrity or put up with his moaning for the rest of the year??
if its your 1st christmas together and he's just getting back fromt eh other side of the globe to see you, then you can hardly be suprised when he askes for something for christmas.
yeah it should be about love and all that, but its the 1 of one 2 times of the year when you have a reason to spend money on him (the other being his birthday).
and btw - i dont like christmas and spend as little as i can. i've not given christmas cards out in years and only by gifts for my immediate family and girlfriend. so i'm not one of these people that like to go round spreading the christmas cheer.
