More for the older clubber such as myself whom can't handle the night events so much, although some of the events I go to are still predominantly young crowds.
Ones I have enjoyed over the last couple of years which always have a good vibe and are well attended are:
East Sunrise -a techno type event with a largely young Italian crowd.
Norman Jay roof top sessions at the POW,soft house and soul with a very mixed crowd of old and young I also enjoyed similar type events at the Brixton beach in the summer.
Dazed and Utopia - at the MOS and 93 feet east, these are deep house events, predominantly young crowd, always full on, though may not be everyones cup of tea.
Channel One at the Village Underground, old style reggae I quite like these as I can rest between records when they give their regular sermons on peace, love and understanding.A very mixed crowd of nationalities young and old, always well attended.
I went to Phonox yesterday which was very good, predominantly techno and a young crowd quite full on.
Promise Land, most bank holidays at Egg,old school rave.garage and soul a very mixed crowd of old and young.
I also attend Soca/Afrobeat events at the magic roundabout but these are not likely to appeal to many.
Also Soul Boat which I reviewed earlier.
