If you're a DJ then one would assume, if you're any good, that you play music you love that you're confident others will as well. So who wouldn't want to listen a mix of tunes they love. Also good way of checking your mixes and getting ideas. DJs shouldn't be playing their own tunes out either I suppose. Unless they're playing them live.
