Dale noticed how i said starting from groovy to extreme meaning there was more then one style of the genre, you know what i was getting at so dont pretend you never, it was enforcing my point that if you are only gonna push the one style of that genre then you were going to be pretty limited to breaking through as unless you got something special to offer then mr or mrs promoter aint gonna push glazby out for eager up and comer

yeah your career is not a dj, nor mine, dont do it for a living so still employed by the queen for now, maybe i should have put the word"prospected"before career and maybe it would have registered as to what i meant, dont take a brain surgeon to figure that people do it for the love of the music, didnt really think that you was doing it for the money by playing at the 414 every week(no offence to 414 but know how much they can pay due to costs etc)

yeah thats wicked that you played every week for 3 years, one day i hope to be just like you and to reach that level of excellence, who knows one day hey?

fully agree with you about playing what you like though i mean why on earth would you play what you didnt like,we all want certain things to happen to us and do things certain ways , i mean i want pamella anderson to kick my door down and start eating me up but unless i loose a stone or 2 and join a multi million pound rock band then i got buckleys chance of that ever happening, depends how much i wanna be eaten i guess, better buy a guitar hey

unfortuantly we all love mixing but when you play at a club you are technically employed, if you wanna keep getting the work you do the job, in any form of employment if you dont do the job you dont get kept on,ill mix for pleasure all day in my bedroom, pull out the old "diamond lights" and "too shy shy" but wouldnt turn up to bedlam on friday and play it as dont think the crowd would take to it, wouldnt be so arrogant and up my own ass to think its "me me me, your only here to see how wonderfull i am"and spin it regardless as there a time and a place,at the end of the day it may be our hobbies but its also a business

My July 2004 mix

Well there's a few shades of Karim. You've got tunes like Cheap Rent and Kenmore 2427 then you've got stuff like Don't Fuck With Me and My Mum Likes It Hard. Anyone who plays DFWM in an early slot is a bit Nutter! if you ask me.

Upcoming set:
Ultim-8 & Seed - The Summer Sessions at The Purple Turtle, Sat August 14, 8-9pm (1998-2001 classic Hard House).

Ultim-8 is about tuff dirty Hard House/NRG...and yes HARD is better but may I ad that we intend to keep the night structured and pounding without spoiling the vibe with people not noting the dancefloor! Take Trade & Torture Garden as an example ...both these event send more than usually rather in a pounding NRG finale but get there early and you'll find the tempo approx. 135 - 140 BPm but its still dirty with that dark edge but definately no hard kicks and swirlng synths nd hoovers!....!!!! Thats why these events have out-survived many a promotion & are so successful!
Thumbs up
