Fri March 13 - Hawaiian Bop moves to it's new last Friday of each month slot - kicking off Easter in ultra fine Bop stylee - as your retrolicous host with the absolute most aka RICHIO SUZUKI and Bop resident OSCAR ROMP welcome world class Deep Funk DJ and songwriting sensation LUCINDA SLIM to The CLF Art Cafe.
LUCINDA SLIM Tanja Daese is a world class record collector/DJ and singer/songwriter. As a singer she has worked with Zap Mama, Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, Antibalas, Sergio Mendez (USA), The Haggis Horns, Youssou N'Dour (Senegal), Ladysmith Black Mambazo (South Africa) and many others.
While living in London she started collecting rare funk and soul and became Keb Darge's resident DJ partner at the world famous Madame Jojos. Keb and Lucinda held down the 'Deep Funk Night' spinning 100% vinyl 45s and later hosted the WangDangDoodle and Hootenanny Nights in Camden, London.
She has also deejayed at The Wahoo Club in Helsinki, Bad To the Bone Ireland, Mod Club XL, Toulouse Soul Club, Boogaloo Club in Milan, Powder Room/Sala Apolo in Barcelona, Cubo Bar in Bulgaria and many others. Lucinda spins Northern Soul and RnB as well as mixing up Jump blues, Surf, Garage and the odd Deep Funk tracks. She is working on a new album and will be touring with her live band in 2017.
As always - Hawaiian Bop presented to you by DJ RICHIO SUZUKI & Bop Resident OSCAR ROMP stepping up to keep the floor positively rocking and rolling till your ass can't take it no more. The Duo of strictly 45 Djs spinning strictly vinyl, strictly Rock & Roll, strictly 50's-60's R n' B, 60's Soul & Motown, Vintage Ska & Latin for max dance floor satisfaction.
