» You Dancing (Remixed)

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 20-11-15 20:38

Label: Enhanced Recordings
Format: Digital
Genre: Progressive / Trance

Enhanced Recordings fires off another remix package; this time, “You Dancing”, by WildOnes, is the package in question with remixes from ANG, Inpetto, Marvey Emerson and Danish wunderkind Daniel Kandi to whet the appetite. A variety of styles on offer here, with the trance crowd covered by the Kandi-man.

Inpetto deliver a house version which is, to be fair, would be unusual on Enhanced but since the label switched from the familiar red sleeve, and came under the tutelage of Tritonal, it has opened its doors to house, dubstep, drum & bass and even acoustic vibes. I like the way Enhanced has done this. Anyway, Inpetto have done a good job here; offering us a peak-time house affair.

ANG go more progressive house on us with a polished affair. I say affair a lot, don’t I? I should really stop. Anyway, where was I? Oh, yes…grooving along to this remix is easy as it has a nice swagger to it. Marvey Emerson goes deep. Way deep. Not as epic as you might think but its slightly longer than Inpetto’s mix. At just nearly 5 minutes, it feels the right length but I do feel that there should be more of a build to it; a nice pace is also present.

Daniel Kandi offers a trance mix which is Enhanced of old. While the trance on offer isn’t full-on, it is clubby enough for the glowstick brigade or whatever the 2010’s equivalent is. God, I sound so old. The Kandi-man does what he does best: pounding melodic trance; nice use of synths and melody in a methodical and nicely-built mix. Nice stuff.
