This was quite a nice little festival on Kent showground near Maidstone,it was largely in two large warehouse type structures (so ok if it rains) and a couple of small outside stages. As it was indoors and in the country they could have fairly high sound levels.I would go again but they need a little more variety in their sounds. The sounds were not really suitable for the crowd,it was a largely young crowd that went because it was a festival rather than for the music.Every stage was techno based and we had Carl Cox on the Friday (he should have headlined the Saturday) and Sasha/Digweed on the Saturday (whom were totally unsuitable for the crowd though not bad in parts). The other arena was run by Fabric and empty most of the time. They would have been better off having garage/soul/soft house/r&b in the other arena which would have been more suitable for the crowd.

Tbf, the line up is usually booked before the tickets are sold so it was the crowd's fault for attending rather than the DJ being unsuitable Wink

The Social is pretty much best known for being a techno event, I/d go to it for it's techno. Also Garage/RnB tends to bring a different crowd that would have potentially made licensing an issue.

The type of crowd was more a Garage/RnB one similar to the We Are Festival crowd.Though it is a techno event it is not able to sell enough tickets on this basis.

That's still their own fault Wink

And if you can't sell enough tickets, get a smaller venue.
