» Full Moon Party (Remixes)

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 27-02-18 13:09

Label: Perfecto Fluoro
Format: Digital
Genre: Psytrance

After "Love Escape", his last release on the main Perfecto imprint, Paul Oakenfold returns to his own Perfecto imprint with a remix package of Full Moon Party, remixed by Skylex and Liquid Soul & Vyce. Did I say Vyce? I really meant Zyce.

Skylex starts us off with an atmospheric and banging trance re-rub which has a touch of the psychedelic about it. It is psy but not quite; a bit Pharmacy in sound but not. If you get me. Anyway...the remix kicks and grooves like a crazy person but in a calculated fashion. It is melodic and aggressive but not overly so. Easy to dance to. Yeah. Big grin

The second remix is by Liquid Soul & Zyce and here is where the aggression takes hold. It is more psytrance than the previous mix and is definitely one to play in a peak-hour DJ set. It reminds me a bit of the Galactic Mantra remix he did for Ovnimoon. Nice stuff. Smile

Peace!
