Viva Simon Vegas!
Written by K8-e on 04-10-06 20:13 (7689 views) (27 comments)
Some people are born entertainers and they don’t come much more entertaining than Simon Vegas. He is a natural behind the decks, with enough energy and enthusiasm to not only get the party started but be the last one standing as well. His high jinx off the decks are the stuff of legend. I could tell you about the time I met Simon, when he was MC’ing to hardcore into a makeshift microphone (using some headphones) at an after party or the time he played at a CyberKitten Filthy Sunday Stomper earlier this year making his entrance on a giant orange spacehopper, but none of these stories really do the man justice, let alone pay homage to his talents behind the decks. Anything to declare? Scot Project gets interrogated!
Written by MostWantedJc on 04-10-06 19:23 (6057 views) (8 comments)
Scot. Mr Project. Frank. Call this German pioneer of hard trance what you will, it seems his hard dance feet haven’t touched the ground since glow sticks were invented. With more credits for djing, producing and remixing than you can shake a bratwurst at, Scot’s appearances at clubs and festivals up and down the UK have earnt him distinguished respect in the tech trance scene. Preview to ElectronicSessions with Bryan Kearney
Written by Roscosulli on 04-10-06 19:13 (3406 views) (13 comments)
Bryan Kearney began djing five years ago and in this time has established himself firmly on the dance scene in Ireland. His sets contain the very best in upfront trance and techno, with the emphasis always on energy and the unexpected. His track with John O’Callaghan, ‘Exactly’, signed to Discover Records, was regarded by many as the track of the Winter Music Conference 06, and is a firm favourite of Armin Van Buuren and Paul Van Dyk. It has been remixed by one of his idols, Giuseppe Ottaviani of NU-NRG, has been requested for no less than eight album compilations, and is set to be one of the strongest trance packages to be released this year. Karim talks to Insekt
Written by Insekt on 03-10-06 20:26 (8321 views) (49 comments)
It’s been three years since hard house’s most opinionated exponent gave the HarderFaster readers a chance to get inside his head. He has proved elusive and rather difficult to tie down, preferring to concentrate on creating a vast portfolio of hard house beats and sets at the scene’s most revered events, rather than raising his profile in the press. A set at Insekt’s massive 2nd Birthday celebration at The Fridge has provided us with the perfect excuse to fire some questions at the fiery Frenchman and hear what he’s got to say! [Full Story]

Eskimo prepares for Party Proactive
Written by Joanna McEwan on 03-10-06 03:45 (4067 views) (20 comments)
Eskimo is riding high and fast becoming a global, cross-genre dj and producer. Having made his name on the psy trance scene with his dramatic, melodic, deep rolling sounds, he’s so damn good the rest of the dance world is sitting up and taking notice too! Producing since the age of nine with his first gig in Japan at the tender age of 11, at 21 he’s flying across the global scene headlining festivals such as The Glade (UK), Solar Eclipse (Turkey) and XXXPerience Special festival in Brazil — his age truly belying his enormous talent and the respect in which he’s held. Trevor McLachlan & HeatUK’s big 5th birthday double-header
Written by e99 on 03-10-06 02:29 (6635 views) (39 comments)
HarderFaster was first introduced to Trev back in December 2005 when he became a monthly resident for the long running night Twisted, after having consistently delivered the goods to their crowd on a bi-monthly basis. Since then, his production career has taken off with a big way, and several of his tracks have become amongst the biggest anthems of the year - being signed to big labels in the scene such as Impact, tidy and AddictionDigital. A knack for creating complex, emotional, exciting riffs has proved to be his forte, and his energetic hard trance sound has followed on from where the likes of Phil Reynolds and Steve Blake started. Talking acid techno with Chris Liberator
Written by HarderFaster on 01-10-06 23:19 (6778 views) (20 comments)
London is famous for many things: Big Ben, The River Thames, The London Eye, Buckingham Palace, black cabs, overcrowded tubes, red buses and acid techno. “Acid techno?” you ask? Yes indeedy, for London is the home of the Stay Up Forever Collective — djs, producers, record label and party organisers extraordinaire that all have one thing in common: a love of the acidy techno sounds that have become a musical sub-genre in their own right. One Wise Man with Raymondo
Written by Adam Symbiosis on 29-09-06 13:03 (5560 views) (22 comments)
A wise old man once told me the secret to being a good DJ is to enjoy yourself. If that holds true then there’s one wise guy that’s had all the success in the world. Entertaining the masses for longer (and better) than some of today’s know-nothing upstarts have been eating solid food, Ray Wise, better known as Raymondo, has consistently provided great music at parties across the world in a career that’s seen him turn his skilled hand not just to DJing, but running a successful party, a fantastic website and also documenting the scene through his photographs and summarising it all into the famous club laws. To be honest if he hasn’t done it, it’s not worth doing.
