The celebrity press inflate talentless stars who get acres of fawning media coverage, advertising deals etc....no doubt linked to how much money their PR agents are pouring in to pitch them into the relevant places....and despite all of this, they sell no records. Victoria Beckham? Cheryl Cole? They have the odd top 10 hit, but their albums don't sell. They are not respected as credible artists and would be nominated for a Brit award when Ann Widdecombe starts a career as a burlesque artist. Have you seen the TV show 'the delicious Sophie Dahl'? It's the biggest display of smuggery (is that a word?) since...well.....ever. I think she looked better pre-diet though, pretty pretty face. She looks tortured on that TV show nowadays, having to pretend to eat those 1000 calorie deserts.
