I think May said it well the other day when she said "Britain was never really onboard with being part of the EU." Or words to that effect.
But in that I just take it that those that wanted to leave were always very vocal about it. Especially cunts like Farage.
No wonder most of the EU don’t have much time for us.
A shame that those that enjoyed being part of a bigger community hadn’t been a bit louder.
Britain was, and I think still is, on board with being part of the EEC.
But I don't think many are in favour of a United States of Europe, and that goes for much of Europe too.

It's a shame Junker and co pushed the EU so hard.
I'd Certanily agree with that, i think there are cracks appearing in other countries too due to a number of factors and Juncker's approach is more likely to widen them than heal them.
He really is a cunt.

But. But. But. He's perfectly in tune with EU ideology and treaties - ever closer union.
This is what the EU is moving towards - Marcon with his comfortable majority wants to move faster, Merkel just had her wings clipped so will have to tread more carefully.

As for the others - suck it up or get out!
True, it does seem to be going that way and the germans and french are pushing in that direction but Macron is very much watch this space, I suspect he has troubles around the corner and his honeymoon will end soon enough.
None of this stops juncker being a cunt.

I suspect you're right, and with Merkel also on thin ice, and those two being the prime movers and by far the biggest contributors, where does that leave the EU?

I wonder what impact the Catalan election and state-directed violence against citizens will have in the EU
Or in the "UK".
When will Scotland and Ireland vote to cede from England?
According to physics, nothing ever quite touches. When you lay your hand on something, there is a microscopic amount of space between the atoms of your hand and whatever you're touching... so no, officer, technically I'm not jacking off right now
Or in the "UK".

True, I'd hope that would be a more civilised affair but I can't help thinking that all eyes will be on Spain and how they handle this, with the risk of unilateral declarations of independence spreading.
The EU is in a tricky position - damned if they don't oppose the violence; damned if they're seen to support breakaway states.
