Most of the time I don't listen to music whilst running - safety running on streets/crossing roads and all that.

But when I do listen to music, it's normally drum and bass, because I can match my pace to the beat.

What music do you listen to?

Ive just started running and at the moment im doing some 'couch 2 5k' podcasts. Some of the music is ok, but some is shit.
Found that i quite like more pop stuff as having something with lyrics takes my mind off the fact that i pretty much hate running lol.

Usually Radio 4 or BBC Radio London. Never music.

If you listen to music doesn't that get in the way in case you need to check wether there are cars coming or just for safety??
My partner listen to hardcore music when snowboarding. I think it is crazy because he is not watching for other skiers or snowboarders.
So I insist he does not put music on anymore as itcan be very dangerous especially on a mountain where you do need all your senses to keep safe and check for others around you.
So no I don't listen to music.

I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, where oxlips and the nodding violet grows. Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, with sweet musk-roses and with eglantine. There sleeps Titania sometime of the night, lull'd in these flowers with dances and delight. And there the snake throws her enamell'd skin, weed wide enough to wrap a fairy in.

I don't run on the roads, only paths as I don't want fuck my legs (like nearly everyone I know who runs has).

Horse riders wouldn't let their horses canter for hours end on tarmac for fear of damaging their legs so why do it to yourself?
