Paul King is already well known for his work on Tripoli Trax, Tidy Trax, Chug & Bump and TDV. He was the driving force behind the hugely successful Pants & Corset and is now currently working on new F1 material and the follow up to Trauma Trax - which sold in excess of 25,000 copies - which this time around includes collaborations with Paul Glazby, Lectrolux and Ilogik to name a few.
His first track “Elevate” was signed to Tony De Vit’s label Jump Wax in 1996 under the guise of Format One.
He has since produced tracks for Tripoli Trax, TDV, Full On, Chug & Bump, and has also had several Top 5 Dance Chart singles (Higher/You’ll Know, Party Time/Fantastic, Cuz I’m Rockin & Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop), and a Number 1 with his Trauma Trax EP on Tidy Trax, and the F1 EP on Tripoli as well as others. His record sales are currently in excess of 250,000 units.
So far he has re-mixed for labels such as Tony De Vit’s TDV & Jump Wax Records, Tripoli Trax, Tidy Trax, Ministry Of Sound, Virgin, Mercury, Polydor, Delirious and Innocent.
Highlights of his DJ career to date include regular appearances for Slinky, Insomniacz and Fevah / There. His most memorable dates read like a wish list for any trance / hard house DJ, taking in the TDV Memorial at The Brixton Academy, the infamous Trade, London & Sydney Mardi Gras, Slinky, Sundissential Leeds & Birmingham, and New Years Eve 2001 and 2002, at the 20,000 capacity party at Fantasy Island, Skegness. International dates over the past few years took in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand to name just a few. His recent tour of Australia included dates for Hard Candy, the Ministry of Sound Hard NRG Album launch and the 15,000 capacity Hardware in Melbourne.
