Fri 20 Oct - Following on from Hawaiian Bop's 5th Anniversary celebrations at CLF Art Cafe, the Bop Heads are back to take you on a positively storming journey in Rock 'n' Roll, Vintage Rhythm & Blues, 60's Soul, Jump Up Ska, Rockabilly, Latin & Mod Bop! Your mighty fine Bop Host RICHIO SUZUKI joined this month by new kid on the block - 7 Inch Max & travelling all the way from France, the incredible WINSTON SMITH!
All artist joining forces to absolutely positively blow the house down in ultra fine Bop stylee at The CLF Art Cafe.
WINSTON SMITH:
As a Vinyl activist Winston has become a key figure on the Soul/ Funk scene in the east of France where he first became prominent some 10 years ago as a member of the « Funk the Power » Dj crew spinning records the « Resident Funk » gigs he organized for over 4 years., but also as an online radio DJ for "Dites33!", a show dedicated to the analogical music on Radiocapsule.com
In recent years, the "Shake Your Groove Thing!" parties he organizes every month to share the turntables with such djs as Dj Format, Marc Hype, Keb Darge, Andy Smith or, Lord Funk, DJ Suspect and many others. In parallel, his passion for Early Soul, The Rhythm 'n' Blues and 7inches has given him the opportunity to perform well beyond French borders revisiting the 60's and 70's never forgetting to keep spinning, and dancing.
In addition to all this, he is also a full-time member of the Locked Grooves team whose benchmark is none other than the 100% vinyl record store of the same name he has co-owned in Strasbourg since 2015 and gives you an appointment every other Saturday between 12:00 and 1:30 pm on Radio NME/ radimne.com for a new soulful adventure entitled "Too Soul for School !
