Chart Return for Jurrane Submitted 25-Feb-05 (933 views)
February 2005 Trance Chart
(1) Jurrane: 'Flame Of The North' - CDR I feel a bit guilty putting one of my own tracks top of this chart but I'm thrilled with it: it's the best work I've ever produced and I'm giving it its club debut on March 25th at Boundless.
(2) O'Callaghan vs Kearney: 'Restricted Motion' - Discover This is how I want trance to sound like in the future. Absolutely amazing - I can't say enough great things about this tune.
(3) Miller & Fijneman: 'San Andreas' - Outstanding An apt title for a track which caused absolute devastation when I played it at Planet Angel last month as the penultimate tune of the night. Very simple but very, very effective.
(4) Tomonari & Tommy Pi: 'C Sharp 2005' - Skywarp Beautiful fluffy trance with a serious amount of power behind it. This original just pips the Alphazone remix for quality although both are great.
(5) UKNY Connection: 'Amsterdam' (Filo & Peri remix) - Selective Producers from UK & New York make a tune about a Dutch city, remixed by two Americans and released on a label from Little Rock, Arkensas. I guess that proves trance is pretty much global these days. ;-)
(6) Mikka & Jussi: 'Reginella' - Five AM This has really grown on me: nice melodic trance with lots of energy. Part of a great EP release by Five AM.
(7) Nick Sentience & Matt Williams: 'Harmoniser' - Quality Trax Every tune Matt Williams creates makes dancefloors bounce so I was always going to like this. Wicked techy sound and quirky bassline.
(8) Vadik: 'Mission 7' (Vadim Zhukov mix) - In Trance We Trust Very spacey-sounding trance from the ever-improving Vadim Zhukov. I'm still loving 'Nothing Matters' as well.
(9) Saltwater: 'Serenity' (Alphazone remix) - Zenith The follow-up to 'The Legacy' is actually a much better track than its predecessor: not so derivative and, as usual, features that powerful Alphazone euphoric edge.
(10) Mirco de Govia & Ronski Speed: 'Asarja' (Mirco de Govia mix) - Euphonic Two of trance's most consistent producers team up to make a typically high-quality track. Love the drum & bass loop in the breakdown.
