Thirsty DJs - 2006 year in review and plans for 2007 (4th b’day)!
Wow! Cannot believe another year just flew by and it’s 2007 – hope you all had a good NY celebrations last weekend where we certainly did at Pacha NYE and the Cross on NYD with amazing feedback this week and most of us are still recovering from the carnage!
As usual, we round out round up 2006 with a quick review and announce our plans for 2007 as we will be 4 years this year :-)
We celebrated our 3rd birthday in Ibiza last summer for the opening parties and also back again for the closing parties at September in Space, Bora Bora, Dc10 and ended at Cocoon’s closing party which were all amazing! Watch out for our tour again this summer which will be even bigger and better this time so to reserve your place, pl get in touch as booking will commence in March.
The first half of 2006 we kicked off the year with our residencies at Pacha, Egg and the Cross with guest appearances at Formula (Easter special), Riva Diva, Push with James Zabiela at the Whitehouse at May and also recently warming up for the tech wizard last November which was one of our major highlights of the year!
We continued our residencies at Pacha, Cross and Egg for the second half of the year with our bi-monthly residency at Riga, Latvia and also in Amsterdam, Holland and involved in the yearly SW4 festival at Clapham Common plus our yearly tour down under (NZ and Oz)!
Our plans for 2007 remain the same where we will continue to play quality upfront electronic dance music to the masses at premier venues including overseas gigs at Oz/NZ (Feb07, Nov/Dec07), LA, US (Apr/May07), Warsaw and Krakow, Poland (Mar07), Ibiza (June & Sep07), Amsterdam and Riga bi monthly and many more amazing and juicy events lined up!
Our production front have been put on hold last year due to too many gigs and commitments so hopefully we can take some time out and head back to the studio later on the year for our long anticipated 2nd release on Thirsty records – watch this space!
Our current residents, Rob Alex, Rizzla, Rupert Jay, Digital Pimpz and Deep House Slutz will continue with us in 2007 but DJ Law and Neil Murphy have retired from the UK scene last year and as usual, we are always on a look out for new talent and if you are interested in becoming a Thirsty DJ resident, do get in touch as soon as possible by e-mailing info@thirstydjs.com with your background/bio, link to your mix(es)/demo(s). For promoters/event organizers/club owners, Thirsty DJs will be delighted to host your room(s) at your promotion, event or club/bar so please get in touch via e-mail (info@thirstydjs.com) with your proposal.
Thanks again for all your support to date and see you at the next party at the Cross on 20th Jan 2007 to kick off the new year in style!
